JAMMU, Oct 30: Forum of BSNL Unions/ Associations today took out a rally from J&K Circle Office, Bahu Plaza to Divisional Commissioner’s office and submitted memorandum of demands.
Amid slogans, BSNL employees both executives and non-executives participated in the rally and submitted memorandum to Divisional Commissioner addressed to Prime Minister, Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, Secretary DOT and CMD BSNL, New Delhi.
The rally was led by Circle Secretaries of BSNL Employees Union (Convener), SNEA (I), AIBSNLOA, AIBSNLEA and SEWA.
BSNL employees were demanding immediate end of illegitimate deputation of non-optee ITS in BSNL/ MTNL to protest the viability of Government’s prestigious and strategic telecom companies BSNL and MTNL.
They also demanded an end to the decade old exploitation and discrimination of absorbed/ recruited employees of BSNL/ MTNL either by taking them back to DOT or immediately repatriating unabsorbed ITS to DOT thereby putting an end to the existing dangerous duality.
