UDHAMPUR, Nov 22: Basic training of 343 BSF recruits of two batches concluded today with the holding an impressive attestation cum passing out parade at Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Border Security Force, Udhampur, here today.
J C Singh, DIG, STC BSF Udhampur, took the salute and congratulated the recruits for putting up a commendable performance in the parade. He also emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication to duty and high degree of integrity while discharging duties on the border as well as in counter insurgency operations.
He reminded the recruits that they are the first line of defense for the country and it is their primary duty to ensure the sanctity of the borders.
The parade was commanded by Recruit’s Constable Nabendu Biswas. Rakesh Deb Berma was adjudged overall first Recruit’s Constable in Batch number 152 while overall 2nd was Prasenjit Das. Rajesh Chakraborty was Best Drill Recruit’s Constable while Best Endurance Recruit’s Constable was Shiba Debnath. Best Shooting Recruit’s Constable was Shekarul Hoque.
Over first Recruit’s Constable in Batch number 153 was Primal Reang while overall 2nd was Suroj Sekh. Best Drill Recruit’s Constable was Bikash Roy, Best Endurance Recruit’s Constable was Sushanta Debnath and Best Shooting Recruit’s Constable was Santosh Kumar Rai.
All these Constables were awarded medals by the chief guest for their outstanding performances. Senior officers from Army, Air Force other CPMFs, Police and Civil administration were also present on the occasion. The parade was also witnessed by family members of BSF personnel as well as of recruits.
