JAMMU, May 5: Border Security Force (BSF) Jammu organized a “Pension Adalat” at Frontier Headquarters, Paloura for pensioners and family pensioners belonging to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The Adalat was aimed at speedy redressal of grievances of BSF pensioners and family pensioners. Around 200 pensioners and their dependent members turned up to have their grievances resolved. Video conferencing was also arranged for those who were unable to attend the Pension Adalat.
On the occasion, D K Boora, IG BSF Jammu said that BSF is always concerned about pensioners and their dependents and committed to resolve pension related issues at the earliest on top priority. Pensioners’ issues were addressed and suitable steps were taken to redress their problems in this ‘Pension Adalat’. He further said that many counters were set up by BSF to expedite the process of completion of codal formalities of pensioners, correction in documents and clarification of the pension- related other issues.
This Pension Adalat was operated under the supervision of Abdul Hamid, Senior Accountant and Uttam Biswas, Account Officer from (Pension Revision Cell), PAD BSF New Delhi. Senior officials of many banks also participated in Pension Adalat. M K Kaul, Chief Manager and Anubhav Uttam, Manager from Punjab National Bank, Vikash Kumar, Manager and Dilbagh Singh, Assistant Manager from State Bank of India and Pritapal Singh from Treasury office, Jammu were present in the Pension Adalat for their assistance.
Most of the cases of the pensioners were resolved on the spot and few cases will be referred to Higher headquarter to be followed by BSF Jammu officials later on.
