MENDHAR, Oct 23: 62 Bn of BSF organized a blood donation camp and one free medical camp at its Achhad campus.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Doctor Rubina of SDH Mendhar in the presence of Manoj Karki, Commandant, 62 Bn BSF, Doctor Mumtaz Bhatti, CMO Distt- Poonch, Doctor Parvez Ahmed Khan, BMO, Mendhar, other officers of the unit and reputed civilians of the area.
First of all, Commandant Manoj Karki donated his blood. There after officers, SOs and other ranks of the unit also donated their blood. Subsequently, free medical camp, organized by the unit, was inaugurated by Dr Mumtaz Bhati, CMO, Poonch in the presence of Manoj Karki, Commandant, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan, BMO Mendhar and other reputed members of the area.
Team of Doctors from SDH Mendhar, including Dr Rubina (Gynaecologist) & Dr Javed Khan examined 142 patients belonging to nearby villages viz. Achhad, Mankote, Gani, Balnoi, Sagra & Limba and distributed free medicines.
