BSF jawan dies of heart attack at LoC

POONCH, Oct 31: A Border Security Force (BSF), jawan died of suspected heart attack while on duty near the Line of Control in Mankote area of Poonch sector this morning.
Official sources said that 53-year-old, Des Raj, son of Hassan Lal of Nawan Shehar, Punjab was posted in 72 Battalion. He was presently deployed at a forward post near the LOC in Mankote sub sector. He fell down while on duty along the LoC and was rushed to nearby by Army unit hospital, where he was declared as brought dead. His body after completion of all the formalities was sent to his home town Nawan Shehar in Punjab.

The jawan had already taken leave for Diwali and he was supposed to leave for home to celebrate festival with his family members in a couple of days, but today his mortal remains wrapped in tri-colour were sent to his home by his colleagues.
