JAMMU, Feb 23: A Head Constable of Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in village Pindi of Arnia, a police official said.
The injured has been identified as Deepak Kumar, son of Shiv Ram, a resident of Sum Makwal area of Satwari District Jammu. He was posted with 98 Battalion of BSF.
He has been shifted to GMCH Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical when last reports came in.
A case under FIR Number 15/2021 under Section 309 IPC has been registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
