Srinagar, Mar 27: The B.Sc Nursing, final year students of Government College of Nursing, GMC Srinagar today said that the authorities were jeopardizing their career by not conducting their final year exams.
Scores of such students appeared in the Press Enclave and were raising slogans in favour of their demands and also against the concerned for failing in conducting their exam.
The students said that their degree should have been completed way back in 2019, “but due to the callousness and the non-serious attitude of the authorities we are yet to complete our degrees,” said Shariq Ahmad, a student.
The students said that they repeatedly reached the Kashmir University authorities for the conduct of the examinations, “but they are giving us lame excuses and told us complete few formalities, which we did, but still, the exams are not being conducted despite completing all the formalities,” the students said.
They said that the JKSSRB has notified 335 new nursing posts for which they can’t apply. “To submit the application for the said posts, we need to have the copy of the final year marks card, thus, we have been left with nowhere to go,” the students lamented.
They urged the higher-authorities to look into the matter and direct the concerned to conduct the examination without any further delay.
