Bring Dalit Christian Reservation Bill in Assembly: JKCMWA

JAMMU, Sept 28: Jammu and Kashmir Christian Minority Welfare Association (JKCMWA) has urged the Government to bring Dalit Christian Reservation Bill in the forthcoming Assembly session for the overall development of the Christian community in the State.
A meeting of JKCMWA was held under the chairmanship of Nassir Masih, chairman of the association which was attended by a large number of community members.
Addressing the meeting, Nassir Masih stated that genuine demands of the Christian community were ignored by every successive Government.
Michael Wazir, President of the association said that Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has no provision for the upliftment of the Dalit community.
Wazir said that there is imperative need for the political reservation for the minority community as there is no single representative of the community.
Among others present were Gafoor Masih, Darshan Masih, Rewal, Abronio, Saleem Sotra, Samuel Bhatti, Lal Gill, etc.
