Bring conspirators to book

Sir,
The recent violence on the occasion of The US President Donald Trump’s visit to India has hurt the soul of India, Delhi. The initiation of violence that was savagic in nature was not spontaneous reaction to an event but organised and crime against humanity. The action and reaction left a trail of death and destruction. The mutilated bodies in itself speak about the savagery. It reminds me of the savagery that the Kashmiri Hindus were subjected to in Kashmir but the national leadership failed to react to it in the way that it deserved. Notwithstanding the fact that the crime was organised in a planned way, the MHA, particularly Delhi Police, cannot escape from the responsibility of failure. It can be described as a big intelligence failure that weaponry/ tools of violence was/were arranged in such large scale and crowds were mobilised to translate the programme into action. The concerned security agencies failed to react to the situation instantly. It was expected that the security agencies would be in high alert on the back drop of violence on CAA and Trump’s visit. But the expectations were belied.
Now it is the responsibility of MHA to ensure that the conspirators of the crime and its executors are identified irrespective of their religious, political or any other affiliations and brought to the book. Subsequently judiciary shall ensure speedy trials and give exemplary punishment to conspirators as well as executors to instil faith in the populace of the country.
