JAMMU, Apr 13: In connection with the auspicious occasion of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti, the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha organized a Bhajan Kirtan Sandhya at the Sabha premises near Parade Ground, last evening.
The Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi was chief guest in the Bhajan Sandhya, which was presided over by V P Sharma, president of the Brahman Sabha.
The Bhajan Kirtan Sandhya was participated by various Sanskirtan Mandlies, which include Shiv Mandir Mandli Shakti Nagar, Shiv Mandir Mandli Nanak Nagar, Laxmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Bawa Lal Ji Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Shiv Shakti Mandir Nanak Nagar, Aaap Shamboo Mandir Peer Kho etc.
On the occasion, a Bhajan CD of devotional songs by Sat Pal Raina and his brother Bhaskar Raina was also released by the minister.
The function was a part of celebrations in connection with Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti, falling on April 20. A day after Shobha Yatra, Yagnopavit ceremony will be performed on April 21.
