JAMMU, May 11: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) today appealed to the Union Home Minister to consider the functioning of Civil Secretariat in Jammu and Srinagar simultaneously due to Covid-19 pandemic which has attracted the whole attention of the UT Jammu and Kashmir Government to cope with the challenging arrangements be made to control the virus.
In a statement issued here today by President DBPS, Ved Prakash Sharma and others members of the Sabha, it has been suggested that this experiment can be in the best interest of people of both the regions. The expenditure related to Darbar Move, which ruins about Rs 200 crores, can be utilized for controlling pandemic, the statement added.
Senior member DBPS, Advocate P C Sharma said that saving on account of Darbar Move should be diverted to disaster management affairs at this crucial juncture.
