JAMMU, Feb 19: On the occasion of World Meditation Day a world peace rally was organized by Shanti Meditation Centre, Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya in which MLA Sat Sharma was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion the MLA said Brahma Kumaris Meditation Centre is striving for world peace which is praiseworthy. He said we should learn meditation and make it our way of life. Later he flagged off the Yatra.
Director of Brahma Kumaris, J&K, Sudarshan Didi said as per World Health Organization (WHO) our health has been divided into four parts; Physical Health; Mental Health, Social Health; and Spiritual Health. She said the common persons have deviated from their routine works and don’t adhere to any time table, what is why they have become lazy and complain of various ailments. She stressed that we should take out some time daily to meditate. She added that 2500 Seva Kendras with a strength of 30,000 Brahma Kumaris and 10,000 Brahma Kumar Bhais were teaching meditation to lakhs of devotees throughout the world.
The Yatra started from Rehari Chungi and while passing through New Plot, Janipur, Roop Nagar, Rajinder Nagar Water Tank, conducted one hour programme. Senior PDP leader M K Dar, present on the occasion praised Sanstha. Yatra was greeted by Bahan Kusum Lata who had arranged breakfast for Yatris.
There after the Yatra reached Sheela Resort Talab Tillo where MLC Kashmira Singh was the chief guest, who greeted all with garlands. The Yatra followed the route of Circuit House, Canal Road, Bakshi Nagar, Super Speciality Hospital, Jewel Chowk, Vinayak Bazar, Vivekanand Chowk, Tawi bridge culminated at Brahma Kumari Centre Trikuta Nagar. Two tableaux of Lord Shiva were also accompanying Yatra.
