BPL, APL people demands proper implementation of NFSB in State

JAMMU, Dec 26: The people belonging to BPL and APL held protest and demanded proper implementation of National Food Security Bill (NFSB) in the State.
Large number of people belonging to BPL and APL carrying empty utensils assembled at New Plot under the banner of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
While speaking, Sunil Dimple, President, JWAM, alleged that there is no kerosene oil available on the Government depots, which has created problems for the people.
He stated that each ration card holder gets 5 litres of kerosene, which is not justified. He demanded 2 kilograms sugar and 30 litres kerosene oil on each ration card.
Dimple also demanded proper implementation of the NFSB in the State. He urged the Chief Minister to provide 10 kilograms atta per member registered on the ration card as 5 kilograms is not sufficient.
He also demanded inclusion of edible oil, sugar, salt, daals, vegetables, LPG and kerosene oil in the NFSB bill.
He also asked Chief Minister to exempt sale tax and VAT on the sale of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among others present were Taro Devi, Krishna Devi, Seema Devi, Shanti Devi, Dinesh Singh, Rajinder Sharma, Raj Kumar Das, Babu, Vicky, Vipan, Mukesh, Rakesh Sharma, Kala Kumar, Surinder Sharma, etc.
