BPCL conducts free health checkup camp at Ghagwal

SAMBA, July 13: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited today organized a free health checkup camp at its COCO Petrol Pump at Ghagwal.
Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (MoS) for PMO and Development of North Eastern Region, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Atomic energy and Space, graced the occasion. He checked the first patient through the mobile medical van, provided by the corporation under its CSR programme, for rural parts of Jammu.
On the occasion, over 100 trees were planted by involving the general public of various age groups. The Minister, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the need of carrying out tree plantation to save the future generations from the ecological imbalance.
Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manager of Bharat Petroleum for J&K, expressed his gratitude to Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in encouraging the company’s team at Jammu in carrying out such programmes to the doorsteps of masses. He also remembered decade old role of Dr Jitendra Singh, when he used to discharge honorary services as a professional doctor in the free health checkup camps used to be conducted by BPCL on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand’s birthday.
Apart from staff of BPCL, prominent citizens of the area were also present on the occasion.
