Boy’s eye damaged as teacher beats up in class

Mendhar, Sept 24: An eye of a boy studying in Class 10th in Govt High School Salwah was damaged after his teacher beat up the boy severely with stick and blows.
The victim identified as Mohd Yasin, son of  Mohd Sharief, resident of  Salwah landed up in Sub-district hospital, Mendhar. There was bleeding in the eye of the boy and he was crying with pain when he reached hospital along with his father and other family members.
According to family members Yasin was severely beaten up with sticks by Math teacher Master Ghulam Muztaba, hailing from the same area. They said the boy had not gone to school for a couple of days due to some domestic problem. He was singled out by the Math teacher in the class and mercilessly beaten up. The pointed stick hit  the eye of the boy and it started bleeding. The boy told that he was unable to see anything from the injured eye.
Dr Parvez Ahmed  Khan who attended the injured boy said that Yasin’s eye has suffered massive damage. He said the immediate treatment was given to the boy but he is needed to be referred outside for specialized treatment. He disclosed that a Medico Legal Case (MLC) has been registered in this connection and accordingly the police was informed.
He further disclosed that during noon 2-3 teachers from the same school also came to the hospital and the boy was found mysteriously missing from the hospital ward there after. The doctor said the matter has been brought to the notice of senior Medical Officers.
