JAMMU, Sept 15: Courage and bravery displayed by a boy leads to the arrest of the thief.
As per official spokesman, a boy namely Babbu Ram, son of Babu Ram, a resident of Mawa Brahmana noticed a suspect person and informed the police.
After getting information, a team from Talab Tillo Police Post rushed to the spot and during enquiry, it came to fore that the suspect was a thief and arrested him.
Artificial jewellery, which he had stolen on September 13 from the house of Meenakshi Dhar of Bharat Nagar was recovered from the possession of the thief.
The arrested person has been identified as Sourab Kumar alias Ricky, son of Kala, a resident of Taragarh Pathankote, at present Malik Market Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 128/17 under Section 454 and 380 RPC has been registered at Nowabad Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the involvement of the arrested person in other theft cases.
Meanwhile, SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta rewarded Babbu Ram for displaying courage and bravery, which led to the arrest of the thief.
