POONCH, Mar 15: A 17-year-old boy was critically injured after he was attacked by a bear at Upper Hari in Surankote area of Poonch district today.
Family members said that boy was grazing sheep and goats near the house in the fields when bear suddenly appeared and attacked him, leaving in critically injured condition. The family members and locals rushed for the rescue and saved the boy from bear. He was taken to District Hospital Poonch for treatment.
Doctors said that boy has received many serious injuries on face, eye and other parts, after giving initial treatment he was referred to GMC Rajouri for advance treatment. The victim was identified as Mehmood Ahmed, son of Salman, resident of Upper Hari in Surankote.
