Srinagar, Aug 7: A teenage boy has died while another has been hospitalized after getting electrocuted while fishing in Maar stream in Handwara on Wednesday evening.
A police spokesman said Mehraj-u-Din Thakery, 15, son of Mohammad Yaqoob and Imtiyaz Ahmed Thakery, 10, son of Mohammad Hanief of Nowgam Mawar received electric shock while fishing in a nearby Maar stream at Nowgam, Handwara.
Mehraj-u- Din Thakery died on spot while as Imtiyaz Ahmed Thakery was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
