Boy dies in firing in Narbal

SRINAGAR: A boy was killed when security forces fired at protesters in Narbal area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district today.

Reports said that a group of youth came out main road and protested against the arrest of separatist leader, Masarat Alam, when paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel fired at them when they pelted stones at them.

At least three persons were injured in firing. One of them identified as Suhail Ahmad Sofi, was critically injured and he was rushed to SKIMS hospital in Srinagar where he was declared brought dead.
Huriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani yesterday called for strike to protest against Tral killings and arrest of separatist leaders.
