Bovines smuggling bids foiled

RAMBAN, July 1: Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Ramban laid a naka and intercepted four vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 15 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Kishore Kumar, son of Ram Nath of Mansar Tehsil Udhampur and Basharat Kasanna, son of Manzoor Ahmed Kasanna of Tehsil Dooru District Anantnag.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Dharamkund arrested two persons and rescued 6 bovine animals from their possession, which they were carrying towards Kashmir on foot.
The arrested persons were identified as Abdul Latif, son of Abdullah and Nazir Ahmed, son of Roshan Din, both residents of Sumber District Ramban.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Ramban and Dharamkund and investigation started.
