Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Feb 9: Jhajjar Kotli Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 8 cattle and arresting two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Devinder Singh laid a naka and intercepted two Kashmir bound vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 8 bovine animals and seized both the vehicles vis arrested two cattle smugglers, who were identified as Mohd Ziarat, son of Mohd Akram of Chanderkot District Ramban and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of Gadigarh District Jammu.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
The arrests were made under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
