JAMMU, June 21: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 28 cattle and arresting two smugglers.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania laid a naka and intercepted two vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 28 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Latief, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Parnote, District Ramban and Abdul Majid, son of Ghulam Rasool of Ragoora District Jammu.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
