Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, May 17: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 22 cattle and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted two trucks bearing registration numbers JK02AJ-4071 and JK14C-0450.
During checking, police team rescued 22 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Ghulam Rasool of District Reasi and Ghulam Rasool, son of Bashir Ahmed of Chowadhi District Jammu.
Cases under FIR Numbers 209/2021 and FIR 210/2021 under relevant Section of law have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket foiled the bovines smuggling bids and made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
