Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, Dec 14: Nagrota police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 11 cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Kashmir bound truck.
During checking, police rescued 11 cattle from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Mohammad Ashraf, son of Mohammad Ayoub of Khanpur Nagrota and Manzoor Hussain, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Talab Tillo Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 307/18 under section 188 RPC and 3/5 RPC has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathanla made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
