Bovines smuggling bid foiled

RAMBAN, Nov 23: Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 16 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station laid a naka at Mehar and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number HR55L-7921.
During checking, police rescued 16 cattle from the vehicle and arrested one person, who has been identified as Alim Khan, son of Mohammad Irshad of Saharanpore Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 189/18 under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
