KISHTWAR, Sept 5: Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing by rescuing 6 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kishtwar Police Station led by SI Achal Rana under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Nihar Ranjan and SSP Kishtwar Rajinder Kumar Gupta laid a naka at Tungwari and intercepted three persons carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, the intercepted persons failed to give satisfactory reply. Police arrested one person and rescued 6 cattle from their possession, while two other persons managed to escape from the spot.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, son of Abdul Majeed of Huller District Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 238/18 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
