Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, June 23: Jhajjar Kotli police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ foiled a bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 16 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka at Suketar and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AR-6991.
During checking, police rescued 16 cattle from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Satinder Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Simbal Camp, Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 55/18 under Sections 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ajay Singh Chib foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia and SP Rural Dushyant Sharma.
