JAMMU, Feb 11: Jhajjar Kotli police foiled bovines smuggling bid with the arrest of three persons and rescuing 12 milch animals.
As per police sources, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka at Saketar road and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK19-2085.
During checking, police rescued 12 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
The accused have been identified as Mudassir Atiq, son of Atiq-ur-Rehman of district Ramban, Mohammad Hanief, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Beli Charana and Mohammad Mushtaq, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Maitra, district Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 14/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Nagrota Khaliq Choudhary and SP Rural Rajiv Pandey.
