KATHUA, June 4: Hiranagar Police foiled bovines smuggling bid and arrested two persons.
As per police spokesman, a team from Police Station Hiranagar led by Inspector Sunil Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Border Pankaj Soodan and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal during checking near Tarnah Nallah noticed few persons, who were indulged in smuggling of bovines by foot.
During checking police team rescued 23 bovines and arrested two persons identified as Zakir Hussain and Mohd Yousuf.
A case FIR Number 74/2022 under Section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Hiranagar and further investigation was sent into probe.
