Bovines smuggling bid foiled

RAMBAN, June 23: Police have foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Ramban laid a naka and asked a person carrying flock of bovines to stop.
On seeing cops, the person escaped from the spot. However, police team managed to rescue 16 bovine animals, which the person was carrying towards Srinagar on foot.
A case FIR Number 228/2022 under section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation set into motion.
The bid was foiled by a police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Sandeep Charak under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
