Bovine smuggling bids foiled; 32 cattle rescued, 4 arrested

JAMMU, Nov 19: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 32 cattle and arrested four smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted three vehicles including two trucks.
During checking, police team rescued 32 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested four smugglers.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Detul Ali, son of Asad Ali of Bhojpur Assam, Aimu Ali, son of Hakam Ali of Manda Katta Assam, Anwar Hussain, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Badsoo Dansal Jammu and Hukam Singh, son of Nand Lal of Garnai Lota District Udhampur.
Three cases under relevant sections have been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and assisted by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Showket made the arrest.
