Bovine smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, Oct 23: Chowki Choura Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Chowki Choura led by PSI Pankaj Katoch under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Harjeet Singh and SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration Number JK02AQ-2395, which was on its way from Jammu towards Rajouri.
During checking, police team rescued 10 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Rinku Kumar, son of Darshan Lal of Bari Brahmana District Samba and Mohd Boosho, son of Alaf Din of Khani Kot District Reasi.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.
