RAJOURI, Mar 24: The police foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued animals from two vehicles.
A team of police headed by Incharge Police Post Chingus/ Chatyar, SI MD Khan was on routine naka checking at Kallar on highway during early morning hours when two vehicles including one Tata mobile JK14B/ 5035 and Auto- load carrier JK11A/ 3792 driven by drivers Wali Mohammad, son of Bagh Hussain, resident of Siot, Nowshera and Jamshed, son of Shamsh Din, resident of Bakher, Siot respectively were intercepted.
Both vehicles were on way to Rajouri from Nowshera. During checking, police team found four animals loaded in the vehicles. Both drivers were arrested and vehicles seized.
A case FIR No 144/019 u/s 188, 295-A RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station, Rajouri in this connection.
