Bovine animals rescued, 3 smugglers held

UDHAMPUR, May 1: Udhampur Police today rescued 11 bovine animals at Majalta and arrested three smugglers in this connection.
Based on reliable information, police party  of Police Station Majalta,   led by SHO, Insp  Urfaan Parveez,   under the supervision of  SDPO Ramnagar Jagdev Singh Slathia,  laid a naka for checking and frisking at Battal Morh, Majalta.
During naka checking, police party    intercepted one Mahindra 207 vehicle, without  registration number. During the checking, the vehicle was found loaded with  11 bovine animals, which were rescued.
The Police seized the vehicle and also arrested the accused smugglers, identified as Ijaz  (driver), son of Aslam of Astan Check,  Anantnag, Khadam Hussain son of  Dauua of  Laswara,  Bishnah and  Wali Mohd, son of  Fathu Din of Laswara,  Bishnah
In this connection, a case FIR No. 31/2018 U/S 188 RPC 3 PCA Act   has been registered at Police Station Majalta  and further investigation is going on.
