People of Ladakh speak Bhoti. A language which has its origin in Tibet. Upto this time this language has not been included in the 8th schedule of Indian constitution. As a result of it has not got the recognition it deserved. As it is considered of least importance it is in a poor state and not evolving as it should have been. The way it is taught in schools is also deplorable. It is requested to all the stakeholders that Boti should be taught by teachers who are themselves aware of its importance and texture.
It Ladakhis have to preserve their culture then the first step should be preservation of language.
