Sir,
J&K State Board of School Education has opened sub-offices in almost all the Districts of our State. These sub-offices were opened for providing door to door services to the students and to the general public. Public in general and students’ community in particular have been greatly benefitted by the facilities being provided to them by these offices. But still our students and their parents have to go to Jammu/Srinagar, have to run from pillar to post in matters of correcting their particulars and other allied matters which could be easily settled at the sub-offices. Need of the hour is that due to berserk increase in enrolment of students in Secondary and Hr Secondary classes, our Sub-offices which are doing their assigned job strenuously, toil hard, with great satisfaction and in serene manner, need to be elevated and strengthened. At present mostly these offices are housed in rented buildings. Further there is paucity of staff in these offices. But in spite of all these bottlenecks, our officials posted in these sub-offices are doing a herculean job to the satisfaction of public and students community at large. The elevation and strengthening of present sub-offices will certainly help our students to overcome insurmountable problems.
A District Level Officer may be in the rank of Deputy Secretary/Joint Secretary, needs to be posted in these sub-offices at the District level. The poor and needy students shall be able to get their grievances resolved at their district level, thus saving their huge amount of extravagant expenses, time and energy.
Our J&K BOSE is financially very sound and with elevation and strengthening the present sub-offices will not create any financial constraints to the authorities at the helm of affairs.
We hope that the Governor of our State and his Advisors, who are always ready to resolve people grievances shall come forward and initiate necessary steps in elevating and strengthening present set up of sub offices of J&K Board of School Education.
Yours etc….
