BOSE organizes workshop on designing syllabi

JAMMU, Apr 3: A one-day workshop for designing the syllabi / model question papers for class 11th on the pattern of class 12th was organized by CDR Wing-JD, JKBOSE,  Rehari here today.
It was inaugurated by Prof Veena Pandita, Chairperson J&K BOSE. In her address, she  impressed upon the participating subject experts of 24 disciplines from the School Education Department that they should thoroughly go through the existing syllabus of the class 11th and then design the same on the pattern of     HSP-II Class  keeping in view the Govt Order: 270-Edu of 2018 dated 06/03/2018 where under JKBOSE has been entrusted the responsibility of conducting 11th class annual examination strictly on the pattern of the class 12th examination.
The Chairperson asked the experts to frame model question papers by following the pattern of CBSE to a greater extent so that  students can compete at national level in respect of their applied knowledge/comprehensive understanding in the various subjects they study in the schools.
Dr Farooq Ahmad Peer,  Director Academics, J&K BOSE, also interacted with the participating subject experts and impressed upon them that they should give their best suggestions /recommendations wherever they feel there is need for changes in the existing curriculum and they can suggest  the best practices available under the existing curriculum of CBSE.
Besides Dr Yaisr Hamid Sirwal AD-JD, Dr Anuradha Sharma, Academic Officer-JD, Sajad Hussain, Academic Assistant and Mohd Jameel, SO, CDR Wing-JD were also present in the workshop.
The workshop was coordinated by Ranjeet Singh Manhas  and  Suresh Kumar Gouria, Academic Officers-JD, JKBOSE, Jammu.
