JAMMU, Apr 3: Borderless World Foundation in association with HDFC Bank has donated a ‘Critical Care Ambulance’ for border residents and has handed it over to BSF for extending medical help to the injured border population in the hour of need.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jammu border is frequently subjected to cross border firing and often there are cases of critical injuries to people residing close to border.
A handout stated that the donated ambulance is equipped with latest equipment and medical gadgetry and would be of great help in saving valuable lives.
Adhik Kadam, Founder Director of the Foundation handed over the keys of the ambulance to N.S Jamwal, IG BSF Jammu in a small function.
Sachin Mahajan, Vice President of HDFC Bank Jammu was also present on the occasion.
The Borderless world Foundation is based in Pune, Maharastra and strives towards the vision of ‘One Great Human Family’.
It has been working in J & K through a variety of activities including disaster relief and emergency medical support for the community and rescuing children left orphaned by the ongoing conflict with an aim to help them grow into a generation of peacemakers.
This Critical Care Ambulance is to be placed at BOPs in the Samba-Hiranagar-Ramgarh area which has been most affected by Pakistan shelling on civilian population. Entire ambulance service will be managed and maintained by BSF medical setup and a Nodal officer with contact number will be designated and duly publicized in the border villages.
