JAMMU, Nov 30: Continuing the drive against smuggling of liquor into holy town Katra, Railway police Katra arrested a bootlegger along with illicit liquor bottles.
As per police sources, during checking, police team from police station GRP Katra apprehended a bootlegger along with illicit liquor bottles.
The accused has been identified as Aashis Bali, son of Sunil Bali, a resident of Chattisgarh.
A case under FIR number 9/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act and 188 RPC has been registered at police station GRP Katra and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO police station GRP Katra Inspector Shahzad Ahmed Khan made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Railways Katra AK Mahajan.
