KATHUA, Jan 8: In continuation to stringent action against illicit liquor menace, a team of Police Post, Chadwal under the close supervision of Ravinder Singh, SDPO Border cracked down on illegal illicit liquor trade at Chadwal and recovered 34 bottles of JK whisky of 250ml and 50 bottles of 150ml and arrested one bootlegger.
Police team of Police Post (PP) Chadwal led by SI Vicky Thapa, in charge PP Chadwal while on patrolling and vehicle checking duty at Seswan Morh, NHW intercepted one Motor Cycle bearing Registration Number JK08D-3626 plying on NHW. The bike in question was driven by Ashwani Kumar, S/o Rattan Chand, R/o Mananun, Samba.
During checking 34 bottles of JK whisky of 250ml and 50 bottles of 150ml were recovered from his possession.
Police Station Rajbagh registered a case against him and investigation was set into motion into the case.
