KATHUA, June 11: Acting tough against the trade of illicit liquor in the district, Kathua police seized 15 litres of illicit liquor at Chak Drab Khan and arrested one person in this connection.
A police team led by Inspector Sudhir Sadhotra, SHO PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Manjeet Singh during special checking in its jurisdictional area at Chak Drab Khan apprehended one person.
During checking, 15 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Ashok Kumar S/o Sham Lal R/o Chak Drab Khan.
He was involved in the trade of illicit liquor in Chak Drab Khan area to get illegitimate profit.
In this regard, a case under Excise Act stands registered at PS Kathua and further investigation started.
