JAMMU, Sept 17: Satwari police arrested a bootlegger along with 60 pouches of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, police team from Satwari police station intercepted a person on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the person on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Tehal Singh, son of Sardar Singh, a resident of Govind Pur, Chatha.
A case under FIR Number 199/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Satwari police station Inspector Manjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of Sachin Gupta, SDPO South, Udhay Baskar Billa, SP South and Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu.
