UDHAMPUR, May 5: Udhampur police today arrested a bootlegger from Bus Stand area and seized 136 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Acting on reliable information, a police party from Police Station Udhampur intercepted the accused who was travelling on foot near Bus Stand, Udhampur.
During thorough search, 100 pouches of 180 ML and 36 of 250 ML liquor were recovered from the accused, who was identified as Ganesh Kumar of Jib Udhampur.
In this connection, a case under section 48A Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
