JAMMU, Mar 6: Police today arrested a bootlegger with illicit liquor in Nehru Market area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, during Naka checking near Tawi Municipal Park, one Thakur Singh son of Sansar Singh, a resident of Ramnagar was arrested and during search 53 pouches of desi liquor (frooties) of 180 ml each recovered from his possession. The accused was carrying these pouches for illegal sale in the locality.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station. Police team led by Incharge police post, Nehru Market, Sub Inspector Balram Sharma, made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO South, Sachin Gupta, SP South, Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
