Book on separated Balti families released

SHOTOPA (KARGIL), June 24:  A book on the life and history of the separated families belonging to Balti community on both sides of the border titled “Balti Muhajiroon Ki Mukhtasar Tarikh” by young Scholar and writer from Kargil Mohammad Sadiq Hardassi, was released.
The book was released  by the Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan in the presence of famous scholar and literary person of Ladakh Haji Mohammad Baqir at Munshi Habibullah Mission School Changrah. The  programme was organized by the Kargil Art, Social and Cultural Organization (KASCO).
Speaking  on this occasion, the CEC  appreciated the effort and research done by Sadiq Hardassi for writing the book for which he had traveled all the way to Uttrakhand, Shimla, Kashmir, Jammu and even to Pakistan to feel and know the actual feeling  of the division. He  requested the talented youth of Kargil to come forward to write about the lost history of Kargil which has a great history.
Talking on this occasion, Sadiq Hardassi said  that his book reveals the pain of separation of families on both side of the border as the story was  same on both sides. In his book he has mentioned the actually narrated story of the separated families and their pain and desire for reunion.
Gulzar Hussain Munshi Chairman KASCO said that his organization’s main motive was  to promote and provide all kind of help to those  who are working on the Culture, Art, Tradition etc of Kargil.
