Please refer to news item regarding Government’s bonanza for State employees dated 23/10/2019.
While welcoming the benefits admissible to state employees the attention of forthcoming UT Government is drawn towards the fate of state family pensioners. Such of the state family pensioners who are working in state now (UT) Government following their appointment on compassionate Government or who have retired on such superannuation after compassionate appointment continue to be deprived of the dearness allowance on family’ pension unlike Central Government .The payment of dearness allowance both on pay /superannuation pension and Family pension is vogue in respect of central employees since 2/1/2006.The State Government was not kind enough in favour of these poor family pensioners mostly widows in payment of DA on family’ pension.
The UT Government of J&K may please extend DA benefits to all family pensioners who were taken to Government service on compassionate grounds following the demise of their respective spouse.
