UDHAMPUR, July 14: A couple was among four persons injured, when the vehicle they were traveling in, skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge near Aarssian Dhermthel, falling under the jurisdiction of Chenani Police Station.
As per reports, the ill-fated Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02BA-9626 was on its way to Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge, resulting into injuries to four occupants including woman.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured were rushed to Sub-District Hospital, Chenani where after preliminary treatment, all were referred to District Hospital Udhampur.
Later, one of the four injured was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Rajinder Singh (59), son of Beant Singh of Gole Gujral, his wife Kulwant Kour (56), Harjeet Singh (54) and Surinder Singh (53), sons of Nater Singh, of New Plot.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Chenani Police Station and investigation started.
