Srinagar, Mar 30: Police today said a body was recovered from a mosque washroom in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district last evening.
A police spokesman said the body of 49-year old Abdul Ahad Sheikh was recovered from the washroom of the mosque at Shalpora village of Sopore. “After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites,” he said.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of his death, the spokesman added.
