SRINAGAR, Jan 17: Body of a man from Kulgam was today fished out from river Jhelum near Sangam area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag.
Officials said that a body was spotted by locals near Sangam in the afternoon who later informed the local police. The man was identified as Sanaullah Chopan (55), son of Abdul Aziz Chopan of Kelam Bozgam, Kulgam.
A police team then reached the spot and fished out the dead body from the river with the help of locals.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigation has been started.
