JAMMU, Sept 23: The bodies of the two youths hailing from district Doda, who were drowned in Tawi river in Nagrota area of the city outskirts yesterday were recovered.
As per reports, Pawan Singh son of Jai Singh and Sarved Singh, son of Chuni Lal, both residents of Dessa, district Doda were drowned, while taking bath in river Tawi near Katalbatal area in Nagrota, yesterday.
On getting information, police party led by DySP Khalik Choudhary and SHO Parvez Sajjad rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service to recover the bodies.
The bodies were fished out today and shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after completing legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
